Catherine Platz of Brown-Forman brought us through an education and tasting of Woodford Distiller's Select, Woodford Double Oaked and Woodford Rye. As a special surprise treat, she then poured us some 2017 Master’s Collection Cherry Wood Smoked Barley!
Then mixologist, Chad Reid of Red Herring bar on Frankfort Ave, demonstrated how to construct a special Woodford cocktail called the Lion's Tail. We had all the tools, glassware and ingredients pre-measured and poured at our seats to follow along and make our own. Everyone went home with a copper plated shaker and a Woodford engraved cocktail glass.
We dined on lime shrimp, sandwiches, veggies and cinnamon bread, and there were awesome door prizes as well, including three different bottles of Woodford.
